Matthew DouglasMatthew Douglas brings experience in sales, construction, substance use disorder operations, and healthcare real estate development to ZLD Partners. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Eastern Kentucky University and managed the daily operations of substance use disorder centers for three operators. Over the past five years, he has overseen more than $60 million in construction projects and participated in over $100 million in real estate transactions. Previously, as vice president of real estate development at a national healthcare provider, he co-managed its development division, oversaw departmental finances, and negotiated contracts valued at more than $100 million.

Michelle LubbertMichelle Lubbert is a real estate and corporate attorney with more than a decade of experience in property acquisition, zoning, commercial development, and healthcare law. She earned a Bachelor of Science with honors from the University of Texas and a J.D. from Southwestern Law School. Michelle advises on complex real estate transactions, development projects, mergers, acquisitions, and corporate compliance, with a focus on behavioral healthcare.

Jayson ZokanJayson Zokan brings more than 25 years of construction experience to ZLD Partners, including 20 years running his own business across commercial and residential projects. Recently, he has focused on healthcare construction and project management, overseeing renovations totaling more than 100,000 square feet. His hands-on approach emphasizes practical, cost-effective solutions and quality execution. Originally from Wisconsin, Jayson enjoys spending time with his family outside work.

Myron MckenzieMyron Mckenzie combines technical expertise, operational leadership, and construction experience in healthcare development and real estate. His background includes owning an electrical contracting business, managing engineering at a high-volume automotive plant, and leading electrical and general construction teams. Before joining ZLD Partners, he served as director of construction for a healthcare development firm, overseeing complex projects across multiple sites. At ZLD Partners, Myron leads development and construction initiatives with a focus on quality, accountability, and long-term value for healthcare providers and investors.

Myron Mckenzie

COO of Development & Construction

Kaitlin BacaKaitlin Baca leads site sourcing, land use strategy, and entitlement planning for ZLD Partners’ behavioral health developments nationwide. Before joining ZLD, she managed more than 40 behavioral health zoning cases across the country for a leading inpatient substance use disorder provider. She works with owners, operators, and investors to identify promising properties and navigate approvals for mental health and addiction treatment projects. Kaitlin holds a degree in Environmental Studies from Fort Lewis College and brings a technical, compliance-focused approach to each project.

Vice President of Real Estate

Ben BachBen Bach specializes in behavioral health real estate, including mental health, addiction treatment, substance use, and psychiatric facilities. Before joining ZLD Partners in 2024, he spent six years with the Sulo Group at Marcus & Millichap, a team that listed and sold more than $1.2 billion in net-leased investments over the past decade. He works with operators, healthcare groups, private investors, and funds to support the growth and value of their properties. Ben is pursuing clinical licensure in mental health counseling and played college football at Indiana University.

Mindy NewsomeMindy Newsome brings more than 15 years of leadership in business development and strategic account management in the industrial and manufacturing sectors, with a focus on construction. At ZLD Partners, she helps clients improve operational efficiency through cost-effective solutions that save time and streamline processes. Her consultative approach spans identifying needs, developing strategies, negotiating terms, and closing deals. She builds trust and aligns teams around shared goals that deliver measurable financial and time savings.

John ZieskeJohn brings over 25 years of industry leadership/ownership in real estate valuation, preconstruction, and property rehabilitation. Throughout his career, he has successfully negotiated complex contracts, overseen multiple projects nationwide from initial development to final delivery, and cultivated a rigorous, value-driven approach to project oversight.His strategic focus centers on expanding behavioral health and healthcare construction, with a commitment to creating functional, high-performance environments for clinical teams and patients alike. By bridging operational efficiency with thoughtful design, John is dedicated to building spaces where medical professionals can operate seamlessly, and patients feel instantly at ease, transforming healthcare construction into true environments for healing.
